Teen Age Eligibility Requirements
STEP 1: Determine Your Eligibility
AGE
*To compete for Miss Illinois’ Teen program, you must be at least 13 years of age by the first day of the Miss Illinois’ Teen competition in the year you are competing. * You must not be older than 18 by December 31st in the calendar year of the State Competition in which you could compete. (December 31, 2024)
* To further clarify: A Teen Candidate cannot turn 19 years of age at any time during the calendar year in which she compete at the State Competition
(January 1st-December 31st). Birth years for eligibility: 2006-2010.
RESIDENCY
Must fulfill one of the following:
*Be a resident of Illinois
*Be enrolled on a full-time basis at an accredited public or private school or home schooled within the state of competition
CITIZENSHIP
*Must be a citizen of the United States of America
STEP2: Register with the Miss America Scholarship Program ($39.99)

STEP 3: Become a Teen Titleholder by competing at a local competition or
Register as an At-Large Teen Candidate

Other Requirements & Information:
Each contestant must submit an entry fee of $200.00.
(You may solicit sponsorship for ad pages, sell 10 tickets @ $20 each or a combination of both to fulfill this commitment)
Candidates are encouraged to submit additional ad pages and additional tickets for cash award for the most ads and most tickets sold.

Areas of Competition
Private Interview-30%: Each candidate will participate in an individual 8-minute press conference style interview with our panel of judges. Candidates are asked questions from their fact sheet and community service initiative statement as well as other topics the panel may choose to ask.
Health & Fitness-20%: Each candidate will present a pre-blocked, high energy stage routine with movement and posing in their chosen Rebel collection fitness outfit.
Talent-20%: Each candidate will perform a 90 second talent of their own choosing. Examples of a talent may include but not limited to: singing, dancing, gymnastics, instrumental performance, baton, karate, monologues, etc.
Red Carpet-20%: Each candidate will model on stage in an outfit of her choosing, representative of what she would wear to a formal, black tie social event.
On-Stage Interview-10%: Each candidate will be asked one question on stage as a continuation of the Private Interview.
